Falcon Unmanned Aircraft Services (Falcon U.A.S.) is a new and growing drone services company based in Northern New York and serving the greater East Coast, from Maine to Florida and everywhere in between.
Our mission is to bring safety innovation to the forefront of the utility industry by tasking our experienced drone pilots and our state-of-the-art unmanned aerial systems with making positive changes in one of the most dangerous and time consuming industries in the world. For us, this is a crucial component of minimizing hazardous exposure to ultimately mitigate risk within the industry – and as journeymen linemen ourselves, that’s important to us on both a personal and professional level.
MEET ALEX BYLOW
Licensed & Experienced Drone Pilot, Journeyman Lineman, Owner, Founder
Alex Bylow is a Northern New Yorker with nearly a decade of experience in the electrical utility industry. As a journeyman lineman, Alex knows what it’s like working in the field, especially when it comes to working in difficult conditions and with different objectives in mind. From emergency storm restoration work to rubber gloving in the summer heat, Alex is familiar with the equipment and the protocols, he understands the risks that are required to get the job done, and he has experienced the challenges and dangers of the industry firsthand.
Because of this, Alex is committed to keeping his fellow linemen safe on the job whilst still getting the work done as efficiently as possible. Not only can he put eyes on your infrastructure, but he can also talk shop with you to make sure you’ve got all of the visual data and insights you need to move forward. He knows what to look for, how to document it and how to handover the data in a relevant and meaningful way.

By now you’re probably used to drones buzzing around overhead here and there on a sunny day, but the aerial your nosy neighbor hovers over your backyard is likely a different species when compared to our cutting edge equipment. Our drones are less like sky toys and more like small aircrafts complete with thermal imaging capabilities.

When it comes to piloting our drones, we can assure you that our expert operators are second to none. Difficult maneuvers, challenging heights, extreme temperatures, adverse weather, rough terrain – our licensed pilots can handle it. Along with our boots-on-the-ground experience, we’ve mastered our in-flight skills to help us overcome the unique challenges that arise on the job. We’re used to being on utility sites and we know what we’re looking for when it comes to structures and equipment.
